Passivity- A Detrimental State Of Existence
A common saying I heard growing up “there’s always two ways- the right way, and the wrong way”. After I gave this some thought and pondered just how false this statement is, I realized there’s a third, and much more detrimental option- doing nothing; being passive.
Surviving Drug Addiction
I’m constantly learning, like an infant, because essentially that’s what I am early on in recovery; I’m being reborn. It might be hard for us to admit, but there’s no shame in simply being human. It can be a relief to stop hiding, to accept who you are.
Saying "I’m Sorry"
Asking for forgiveness and forgiving others goes hand in hand in recovery. Harboring resentment and anger towards others is a way of avoiding making amends and is detrimental to recovery from addiction.
